Survivor Stories

Real Men. Real Strength.

Every man's journey is different. These are the stories of men who faced cancer head-on — and came out stronger. Their courage might save your life.

Marcus T. — Prostate Cancer survivor
Prostate Cancer
Diagnosed 2019
"Getting screened felt like admitting weakness. Now I know it was the strongest thing I ever did."

Marcus ignored his doctor's recommendation for a PSA test for three years. When he finally went, his PSA levels were elevated. A biopsy confirmed early-stage prostate cancer. After surgery, he's been cancer-free for five years. "I almost let pride kill me," he says. "Now I tell every man I know — get screened."

Robert K. — Colorectal Cancer survivor
Colorectal Cancer
Diagnosed 2021
"My doctor caught it early. That conversation saved my life. Don't skip your checkups."

Robert had been putting off his colonoscopy for years. At 62, his doctor finally convinced him. They found and removed three polyps — one of which was precancerous. "Five more years and it would have been a very different story," Robert says. He now volunteers with our community outreach program.

James W. — Testicular Cancer survivor
Testicular Cancer
Diagnosed 2022
"I was 31 when I was diagnosed. The support network here got me through the darkest days."

James noticed a small lump during a self-exam — something he'd only started doing after seeing a Man Cancer Foundation post on social media. His doctor confirmed testicular cancer. After surgery and one round of chemotherapy, he's been in remission for two years. "That social media post literally saved my life."
